It has been revealed that the newest installment of the Mortal Kombat series will have close to every character from 1-6 in it. So far, the only exceptions are Motaro (who we are still unaware of his involvement) and various characters that made appearances in other MK titles outside the tournament series.
Updated characters include: Rain, Kintaro, Sheeva, Reiko, Kurtis Stryker (yeah he’s back), Kai, Fujin, Sektor, Sareena, Jarek, and Shinnok.
